Rutland-based Gillian Goodson Designs offers a friendly, professional garden, landscape and planting design service centred entirely around you and your garden, regardless of how big or small.

Combining creativity with a highly personal approach, we create thoughtful designs carefully shaped to suit you, your property and the unique character of your garden., starting every design with a conversation, as we appreciate no two clients - and no two gardens - are ever the same.​

​Our award-winning studio based in Rutland designs gardens mainly in Rutland, Stamford, Market Harborough, covering East Anglia, the East Midlands and London, however, we are happy to travel wherever needed and have a number of happy clients across the UK.
Locations
​We design gardens, landscape designs, planting schemes of varying sizes and offer consultations in and around Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and London.

Whether you have a large garden, small garden, courtyard or cottage garden, we will bring the image you envision to life.

Whilst we design gardens mainly in Rutland, East Anglia, the East Midlands, London and surrounding areas, we have also collaborated with fellow designers in Ireland and Wales, and consulted on garden projects in Australia.

"Evergreens for all-year-round structure. Other shrubs for autumn colour, winter scent and spring flowering. Pollinator friendly perennials. Lovely grasses. Gillian incorporated our own preferences for plants; and added many more with which we were unfamiliar. Gillian sourced the plants. Good quality; reasonable prices. We did not have a detailed planting plan on paper. Rather, Gillian had an image in her mind, then set out on site, seeing what worked best."
