Rutland-based Gillian Goodson Designs offers a friendly, professional garden, landscape and planting design service centred around you and your garden. Every project is truly bespoke, shaped by your lifestyle, your space and the understanding that no two clients - and no two gardens - are ever the same.

Every garden starts with a conversation to identify your wants, your needs, and your concerns, ensuring your garden is designed around you, your space and the way you live.

As our garden design studio is based in Rutland, the gardens we design are mainly situated in and around Rutland, East Anglia, Birmingham, the East Midlands and London, however, we are happy to travel further afield and do have clients throughout the UK.

We believe an eye for detail is essential and that it is important to strike a balance between using innovative materials and cohesive, sustainable planting, ​hence our garden, landscape and planting designs incorporate a considered blend of colour, texture, form and scent and, wherever possible, year-round interest.
DESTINATIONS
​We have undertaken garden and landscape designs, built show gardens, provided garden consultations and designed planting schemes of varying sizes in and around Rutland, Birmingham, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, London and elsewhere across the UK.
We have also collaborated with fellow designers in Ireland and Wales, and consulted on garden projects in Australia.

COURSES & EVENTS
​In addition to garden and landscape design, Gillian styles and designs interiors for clients who need a helping hand or inspiration, seamlessly connecting people's homes with their gardens.

We also offer bespoke, industry-related courses and workshops, and events featuring special guest speakers throughout the UK.
We would wish particularly to praise Gillian’s high standards and communication skills. Site visits during the planning, construction and planting stages. Frequent emails and messages. Throughout, attention to detail and a marvellous enthusiasm for the task.
